The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2004

An Act to amend the Constitution by providing for the establishment of a Police Management Authority, and for other related matters

This Bill was debated along with the Police Complaints Authority Bill, 2004 and the Police Service Bill, 2004.
The Bill requires a special (two-thirds) majority in both Houses in order to be passed.
It did not receive the support of the requisite majority and was defeated in the House of Representatives on 02 July 2004.
