Senator Dr. Adesh Nanan


Dr. Adesh Nanan first entered Parliament in 1995 as the Member for Tabaquite in the House of Representatives. Between 1995 and 2001 Dr. Nanan served as a Cabinet Minister, holding the portfolios of Minister of Education and Minister of the Environment. When the United National Congress formed the Opposition Dr. Nanan served in opposition as representative for Tabaquite between the years 2001 and 2007.

In 2007, Dr. Nanan did not contest the Tabaquite constituency, and was instead appointed a Senator in the 9th Republican Parliament.

Dr. Nanan attended Naparima College and the University of the West Indies. He then went on to Howard University School of Dentistry.  He is a dental surgeon by profession.
