This Bill seeks to amend the Protection of New Plant Varieties Act, Chap. 82:75 to reflect the International Convention for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants of December 2, 1961, as amended in 1972, 1978 and 1991 (“1991 UPOV Convention”), and to facilitate the accession of Trinidad and Tobago to the 1991 UPOV Convention.
