The Bill seeks to amend section 4(3) of the Land Tenants (Security of Tenure) Act, Chap. 59:54, to change the time by which a tenant under a statutory lease is required to serve on his landlord written notice of the exercise of the tenant’s right to renew the lease from at least six months before the expiration of the lease to on or before the expiration of the lease. The Bill requires a three-fifths majority in order to be passed.
