The Employment Injury and Disability Benefits Bill, 2001

An Act to provide for the payment of benefits to employees who suffer disability or death by, or as a result of, injury or disease arising out, or due to the nature of their employment, for the payment of benefits to the dependents of such employees and for other related matters

This Bill seeks to provide for the payment of benefits to employees who suffer disability or death by, or as a result of, injury or diseases arising out, or due to the nature, of their employment and for the payment of benefits to the dependents of such employees. The Bill requires a three-fifths majority.

The Bill lapsed upon the dissolution of the 6th Republican Parliament on 13 October 2001.
