Ms. Donna Cox first entered Parliament following the General Election of 2007 as the Member for Laventille East/Morvant. At that time Ms. Cox was appointed Minister of State in the Ministry of Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs. On April 3, 2008 Ms. Cox was appointed Minister of State in the Ministry of National Security.
Ms. Cox was reelected to the House of Representatives as a Member of the 10th Parliament following the General Election of May 24, 2010, this time in Opposition. In 2019 Ms. Cox was appointed a Senator and Minister of Communications.
Ms. Cox is a communications professional, having worked in that capacity in several Government Ministries and, prior to entering Parliament, National Flour Mills.
