Leave of absence was granted to Dr. Roodal Moonilal, MP for Oropouche East, from today’s Sitting of the House.

The Member for Barataria/San Juan, Mr. Saddam Hosein, MP, moved a private motion condemning the Government for its failure to effectively address the unacceptable and serious crime level affecting law-abiding citizens. Debate began on the motion.
Mr. Keith Scotland, MP moved a privilege motion regarding statements made by the Member for Oropouche West at a Media Conference held by the United National Congress on November 13, 2022, which pointed to impartiality by the Speaker of the House. The Deputy Speaker of the House, Mr. Esmond Forde, MP, reserved his decision to a subsequent Sitting.
Mr. Rushton Paray, MP for Mayaro, raised a matter on the adjournment namely the consistent disruption to the communities of Mayaro and Rio Claro and Environs due to deplorable road conditions and persistent flooding without any substantial remedial action to eliminate same by the Ministry of Works and Transport. The Minister of Works and Transport, Sen. the Hon. Rohan Sinanan, responded.
