Mr. Ndale Young, Mr. Michael Seales, Dr. Jeremy Inniss, Ms. Yokymma Bethelmy and Mr. Dominic Smith were appointed temporary senators.

The Minister of Finance, Hon. Colm Imbert, MP, moved the second reading of The Miscellaneous Provisions [Proceeds of Crime, Anti-Terrorism, Financial Intelligence Unit of Trinidad and Tobago, Securities, Insurance, Non-Profit Organisations, Civil Asset Recovery and Management and Unexplained Wealth and Miscellaneous Provisions (FATF Compliance)] Bill, 2024. Sen. Jayanti Lutchmedial-Ramdial was first to respond, followed by Sen. Dr. Paul Richards, the Attorney General, Sen. Wade Mark and Sen. Sunity Maharaj. The Minister of Finance then rose to wind up the debate. The bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole for consideration clause by clause. No amendments were made. The bill was read a third time and passed.
