Leave of absence was granted to Sen. Anthony Vieira, S.C., who is out of the country and to Sen. Anil Roberts, who is ill. Mr. Francis Lewis and Dr. Tim Gopeesingh were appointed temporary senators in their place.

The Leader of Government Business, Sen. Dr. Amery Browne, moved a motion for the appointment of independent senators to six committees to replace former independent senators. The motion was approved.
Debate resumed on The Appropriation (Financial Year 2024) Bill, 2023. Ten contributions were made (34 over the course of three days of debate) before the Minister of Finance rose to wind up. The bill was not committed to a Committee of the Whole. The bill was read a third time and passed.
The President of the Senate, Hon. Nigel de Freitas, made remarks on behalf of the Senate, on the service of Clerk of the House, Mrs. Jacqui Sampson-Meiguel, who proceeded on pre-retirement leave after 37 years of parliamentary service. The Sitting concluded at 5:28 p.m.
