The Finance (Supplementary Appropriation)(Financial Year 2022) Bill, 2022 was read a first time in the name of the Minister of Finance, who moved that the next stage of the Bill be taken later in the proceedings.
The Leader of the House moved that for debate on the Motion to adopt the report of the Standing Finance Committee, the speaking time be amended as follows: mover of the motion – unlimited speaking time, first responder – time equal to the mover; next two speakers 45 minutes, all other speakers 30 minutes, all with no extensions. The House agreed.
The Minister of Finance moved a Motion to adopt the Report of the Standing Finance Committee of the House of Representatives for the Second Session (2021/2022), Twelfth Parliament on the consideration of proposals for the Supplementation of Appropriation for the fiscal year 2022. The Leader of the Opposition was first to respond. Nine members contributed before the wind up by the Minister of Finance, Hon. Colm Imbert, MP. The motion was approved.
The Minister of Finance, Hon. Colm Imbert, MP, moved the second reading of The Finance (Supplementary Appropriation) (Financial Year 2022) Bill, 2022. With no contributors to the debate, the bill was read a third time and passed.
At the next Sitting, debate is expected to continue on a Motion to adopt the Report of the Joint Select Committee on the Miscellaneous Provisions (Local Government Reform) Bill, 2020
