The Clerk read the Proclamation by Her Excellency the President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago declaring the 2nd Session of the 13th Parliament open. The National Anthem was played.

Prayer was offered by members of the Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Baháʼí Faith and Orisha communities.
