The Honourable Nizam Baksh

Mr. Nizam Baksh first entered Parliament in 1995 as a Government Senator and later served as a Parliamentary Secretary in the 5th Republican Parliament.

Mr. Baksh was first elected to the House of Representatives in the Parliamentary Elections held on December 10th, 2001 for the electoral district of Naparima (7th Republican Parliament). He would be re-elected in 2002, 2007 and again in 2010 when he was appointed Minister of Community Development in the 10th Republican Parliament.

Mr. Baksh is married to Latiffa Baksh and together they had four children. He holds a CYP Diploma in Youth Work and prior to his post as an MP, he was a Community Development Social Worker and a company Director.

His hobbies include travelling and sports.
