The President of the Senate announced that Sen. David Small was out of the country. Mr. Taurel Shrikissoon was appointed to temporarily replace Sen. Small during his absence.
The President read communication from the Speaker of the House announcing the appointment of House members to several Joint Select Committees.
The President indicated that tributes would be paid to former Independent Senator Michael Mansoor later in the proceedings. Before adjournment, tributes were paid by Sen. the Hon. Dr. Bhoendradatt Tewarie, Sen. Camille Robinson-Regis, Sen. Helen Drayton and the President of the Senate. The Senate then stood in silence for one minute.

The Leader of Government Business sought leave of the Senate to deal with Private Business instead of Government Business. Leave was granted.
Independent Senator Dr. Victor Wheeler moved a Private Motion which calls on the Government to take immediate steps to conduct a comprehensive review of the Regional Health Authority system in the delivery of health care in Trinidad and Tobago. The Minister of Health was first to respond.
At the next sitting, debate is expected on the Urban and Regional Planning Profession Bill, 2014. The sitting ended at 4:57 p.m.
