Debate continued on the private motion asking the House to suspend the operations Contract to A&V Oil and Gas Limited Pending Investigation. Sen. the Hon. Clarence Rambharat completed his contribution. Sen. Haynes contributed next, followed by Sen. the Hon. Paula Gopee-Scoon, Sen. Khadijah Ameen, Sen. Stephen Creese, Sen. Ronald Huggins and Sen. Taharqa Obika. The motion was not approved.
Sen. Wade Mark raised as a matter on the adjournment the closure of some nine (9) TSTT Retail Stores and the consequent implications for the permanent and contract employees as well as the general public. The Minister of Public Utilities responded.
Sen. Mark raised another matter on the adjournment namely the failure of the Government to properly explain its decision to transfer over $300 million of its unspent funds to the completion of UTT?s signature building complex in Tamana. The Minister of Education responded.
