Dr. Tim Gopeesingh made two requests for leave to move the adjournment of the House on the following matters – the non-payment of outstanding sums of money to school bus drivers and the unprecedented breach of security at one of the country’s public hospitals. The Speaker was not satisfied that these matters qualified under this Standing Order.
The Attorney General moved the second reading of the Bail (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill, 2019. Debate began on the Bill. Following the wind up by the Attorney General, the debate on the Bill was adjourned.
The Finance Bill, 2019 was introduced in the name of the Minister of Finance.
