Leave of absence was granted to Sen. Wade Mark, who is out of the country. Dr. Tim Gopeesingh was appointed temporary Senator in his place.
Temporary Senator Dr. Gopeesingh took the oath of allegiance.

The Attorney General, Sen. the Hon. Reginald Armour, S.C. moved the second reading of The Miscellaneous Provisions (Registrar General, Companies, Registration of Business Names, and Non-Profit Organisations) Bill, 2023. Debate began on the bill. Ten senators contributed to the debate before the wind up by the Attorney General. The bill was then committed to a Committee of the Whole for consideration clause by clause. The bill was approved with amendments and read a third time and passed.
Sen. Paul Richards raised a matter on the adjournment namely the need for the Government to identify measures taken to remediate the underperformance of S.E.A. students between 2018-2023. The Minister of Education, Hon. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, MP, responded.
