The Speaker granted leave of absence to the Members for Diego Martin West, Arouca/Maloney, Port-of-Spain North/St. Ann’s West and Fyzabad for today’s sitting.
The Speaker read communication from the President of the Senate detailing Senate appointments to various Joint Select Committees.

Three Urgent Questions were listed for answer. All questions were answered. See the Notice for Urgent Questions appended to the Order Paper.
The Member for Caroni Central sought leave of the House to move the following matter, the health and safety issues affecting the Edinburgh Government Primary School. The Speaker was not satisfied that the matter qualified under this Standing Order and suggested that the Member instead raise the Matter on the Motion for the Adjournment of the House.
The Attorney General moved the second reading of the Urban and Regional Planning Profession Bill, 2019. The Member for Caroni Central was first to enter the debate, followed by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Education. Foir Members spoke before the Attorney General rose to wind up the debate. The Bill was read a second time and referred to a Committee of the Whole where it was considered clause by clause and approved with amendments. The House agreed with the report of the Committee and the Bill was then read a third time and passed.
