Leave of absence was granted to Sen. the Hon. Paula Gopee-Scoon, Sen. Dr. Lester Henry and Sen. Sophia Chote, S.C., who are out of the country and to Sen. Khadijah Ameen, who is ill. Temporary Senators, Mr. Ndale Young, Mr. Harvey Borris, Mr. Josh Drayton and Mr. Eli Zakour were appointed temporary Senators in their absence.
Temporary Senators, Mr. Ndale Young, Mr. Harvey Borris, Mr. Josh Drayton and Mr. Eli Zakour took the oath of allegiance.
The Urban and Regional Planning Profession Bill, 2019 was brought from the House of Representatives in the name of the Minister of Planning and Development.

Four urgent questions were posed.
There are three questions on notice listed on the Order Paper. All three questions were answered.
Debate resumed on the Bail (Amendment)(No.2) Bill, 2019. Following the debate, the Bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole Senate for consideration clause by clause. Amendments were made. With 22 votes for, 0 votes against and 8 abstentions, the Bill was read a third time and passed.
Opposition Senator Wade Mark raised a matter on the adjournment namely the failure of the Government to provide critical resources to the National Maintenance Training and Security Company. The Minister of Public Utilities, Sen. the Hon. Robert Le Hunte, responded.
