Requests For Leave To Move The Adjournment Of The House On Definite Matters Of Urgent Public Importance
Two Requests

Dr. Tim Gopeesingh, MP, made request for leave to move the adjournment of the House on a definite matter of urgent public importance regarding the incidence of the H1N1 virus in Trinidad and Tobago and its management by the Ministry of Health. The Speaker was not satisfied that this matter qualified under Standing Order 17.
Mr. Barry Padarath, MP, also made a request for leave to discuss the need for Government to make public the Jacqueline Wilson led committee report into the termination of an employee at the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs. The Speaker was not satisfied that this matter qualified under this Standing Order.

The Miscellaneous Provisions (Law Enforcement Officers) Bill, 2019

The Minister of National Security, Hon. Stuart Young, MP, moved the second reading of the Miscellaneous Provisions (Law Enforcement Officers) Bill, 2019. Debate began on the Bill. Following the debate, the Bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole for consideration clause by clause. The Bill was read a third time and passed, with amendments.
