The Prime Minister made a Personal Explanation in the House.

The Minister of Finance continued his wind up of debate on the Appropriation (Financial Year – 2019) Bill, 2018. The Bill was read a second time and referred to Standing Finance Committee. The Committee examined the Heads of Expenditure, approved the schedule, considered the Bill clause by clause, then reported the Bill to the House. The Bill was passed by a margin of 21 for, none against and ten abstentions.

The Leader of the House raised a matter of privilege about comments made during the budget debate by the Member for Oropouche East.

The Speaker gave her ruling on a matter of privilege raised by the Leader of the House on October 10, 2018 in response to statements made by the Member for Oropouche East. The matter was referred to the Committee of Privilege.
