A Proclamation
Tower D is the new Location of the Parliament

The Clerk of the Senate read a Proclamation by His Excellency the Acting President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago declaring Tower D of the Port-of-Spain International Waterfront Centre, 1A Wrightson Road, Port-of-Spain, as the place at which the Second Session of the Tenth Parliament shall continue. The National Anthem was then played.

Announcements By The President/Vice-President
Leave of Absence

The President of the Senate granted Leave of Absence to Sen. Lyndira Oudit. Mr. Rabindra Moonan was appointed to temporarily replace Sen. Oudit during her absence from Trinidad and Tobago.

The Appropriation (Financial Year - 2012) Bill, 2011

The Minister of Finance moved the second reading of the Appropriation (Financial Year – 2012) Bill, 2011, which was passed in the House of Representatives on Tuesday October 18, 2011. Sen. Dr. Lester Henry was first to enter the debate, followed by Sen. Subhas Ramkhelawan and the Minister of Food Production, Land and Marine Affairs. Nine Senators made contributions before debate was suspended.
