Leave of absence was granted to Mr. Fazal Karim, MP for Chaguanas East, from today’s Sitting of the House.
The Firearms (Amendment) Bill, 2019 was brought from the Senate. The Attorney General moved that the next stage of the Bill be taken later in the proceedings. This motion was carried.

The Attorney General, Hon. Faris Al-Rawi, MP, moved the second reading of The Firearms (Amendment) Bill, 2019. Debate began on the bill. Following the debate, the Bill was referred to the Committee of the Whole for consideration clause by clause. No amendments were made. With 29 votes for, 0 votes against and no abstentions, the Firearms (Amendment) Bill, 2019 was read a third time and passed.
