The Minister of Health, Hon. Terrence Deyalsingh, MP, made a statement, authorized by Cabinet, on the way forward in treating with issues of unsafe conditions at the Central Block of the Port of Spain General Hospital.
The Leader of the House moved a motion that the JSC on the Insurance Bill, 2016, the JSC on the Gambling (Gaming and Betting) Control Bill, 2016 and JSC on the Cybercrime Bill, 2017 be granted an extension of eleven (11) weeks in order to complete its work and submit a final report by September 15, 2017. These motions were approved.
The Private Motion (debated on Friday May 26, 2017) on the Rising Crime Epidemic moved by Mr. Rodney Charles, MP, was debated.
Hon. Colm Imbert, MP, made a statement on the injection of funds into the UNIMED Group Health Plan for monthly paid officers.
