Leave of absence was granted to Mr. Esmond Forde, MP for Tunapuna, from sittings of the House during the period July 23 – August 30, 2018, to Hon. Terrence Deyalsingh, MP for St Joseph for sittings of the House during the period July 28 – August 4, 2018 and to Hon. Marlene Mc Donald, MP for Port of Spain South and Mr. Barry Padarath, MP for Princes Town from today’s Sitting.

One Paper was laid.

The Prime Minister moved a motion to approve the notification of the nomination by the Police Service Commission of Mr. Gary Griffith to the Office of the Commissioner of Police. Dr. Moonilal joined the debate. The motion was approved.
