Personal Explanations
Explanation by Dr. Roodal Moonilal

Pursuant to the approval of a motion calling on the Member of Oropouche East to apologize to the House for the use of threatening words, the Speaker indicated that she was still awaiting the personal explanation from the Member for Oropouche East. The Leader of Government Business moved a motion that the Member be not recognized by the House until he apologizes to the House. The motion was carried.

Extension to JSCs

The Leader of Government Business moved a motion that an extension of 3 months be granted to the JSC on the Cybercrime Bill, 2017 in order for the Committee to complete its work and submit a report by September 28, 2019. This motion was carried.
A second motion was moved calling for an extension of 14 weeks to be granted to the JSC on The Gambling (Gaming and Betting) Control Bill, 2016 in order for the Committee to complete its work and submit a final report by September 9, 2019. This motion was approved.

The Attorney General, Hon. Faris Al-Rawi, MP, moved a motion that the House consider the Senate amendments to the Miscellaneous Provisions (Pensions) Bill, 2019. Dr. Bhoendradatt Tewarie, MP, was the sole contributor to the debate. The amendments were approved.
