The President granted leave of Absence to Sen. the Hon. Dr. Amery Browne, who was out of the country. Mr. Ndale Young was appointed to temporarily replace Sen. Browne.

Debate resumed (from September 14, 2021) on the Trinidad and Tobago Revenue Authority Bill, 2021. Sen. Hazel Thompson-Ahye was first to enter the debate, followed by Sen. Amrita Deonarine and the Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts. Ten Members made contributions (19 over the course of two days of debate) before the Minister of Finance rose to wind up debate. The House then resolved into a Committee of the Whole to consider the Bill clause by clause. The Bill was considered in Committee and passed by a margin of 21 for, 7 against, 1 abstention.
Sen. Anthony Vieira moved a matter on the Motion for the Adjournment on the need for the Government to consider the use of Ivermectin in this country�s fight against COVID-19. The Minister of Health responded.
Senator Mark then raised the following matter, the need for the Government to explain the legal basis for its decision to appoint a two-member Committee comprising private citizens, to investigate allegations of misconduct against senior members of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service. The Minister of National Security responded.
