Leave of absence was granted to Sen. the Hon. Franklin Khan and Sen. the Hon. Dennis Moses, who are out of the country and to Sen. H.R. Ian Roach who is ill. Ms. Ayanna Lewis, Mr. Garvin Simonette and Ms. Zola Philips were appointed temporary Senators in their place.
Temporary Senators Ayanna Lewis, Garvin Simonette and Zola Philips took the oath of allegiance.
One Bill was brought from the House of Representatives. The Attorney General moved that the next stage of the Bill be taken later in the proceedings.

The Attorney General moved the second reading of The Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Bill, 2018. Debate began on the Bill. Following the debate, the Bill was committed to Committee for consideration clause by clause. No amendments were made. The Bill was then read a third time and passed.
Sen. Wade Mark raised a matter on the adjournment namely the failure of Central Bank to address the plight of borrowers and depositors who are adversely affected by unfair banking practices. The Minister in the Ministry of Finance responded.
