Leave of absence was granted to Hon. Faris Al-Rawi, MP for San Fernando West, from Sittings of the House during the period June 14-22, 2019 and to Mrs. Vidia Gayadeen-Gopeesingh, MP for Oropouche West, Mr. Rushton Paray, MP For Mayaro and Dr. Fuad Khan, MP for Barataria / San Juan, from today’s Sitting of the House.
The Deputy Speaker informed that the High Commissioner of Jamaica was signing the condolences book of the late 5th Prime Minister of Jamaica, Edward Seaga.

The Minister of Finance moved that the House consider the Senate’s amendments to the Miscellaneous Provisions (Tax Amnesty, Pensions, Freedom of Information, National Insurance, Central Bank, Companies and Non-Profit Organisations) Bill, 2019.
The Minister in the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs moved the second reading of the Licensing Committee (Validation) Bill, 2018. Debate began on the Bill. Following the debate, the Bill was committed to the Committee of the Whole to consider the Bill clause by clause. With 32 voting for, 0 voting against and 0 abstentions, the Bill was read a third time and passed, without amendments.
The House brought greetings to the nation on the observances of Labour Day and Corpus Christi on June 19 and 20 respectively. The Sitting concluded at 6:12 p.m. The House adjourned to Wednesday June 26, 2019 at 1:30 p.m.
