The Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance and the Economy moved the second reading of the The Sugar Industry Control Board (Repeal) (Validation) Bill, 2013. The Bill was considered in Committee and passed without amendment. It was then read a third time and passed.
The Minister of Sport moved a Motion asking the House to agree to Senate amendments to the Anti-Doping in Sport Bill, 2013. The Amendments were unanimously approved with a vote of 37 For, 0 Against and No Abstentions.
Debate resumed (from June 21, 2013) on the Dog Control Bill, 2013. The Attorney General moved the Bill to be read a second time where it was then referred to Committee. The Bill was then read a third time and passed by a Division of 36 For, 1 Against and 0 Abstentions
The Deputy Speaker moved a Motion asking the House to adopt the Report of the Special Select Committee of the House appointed to consider and report on the Holy Name Convent Past Pupils’ Association (Incorporation) Bill, 2013. The Bill was later passed.
The Minister of Tourism moved a Motion asking the House to adopt the Report of the Joint Select Committee appointed to consider and report to Parliament on the Insurance Bill, 2013. The Motion was approved.
