Leave of absence was granted to Sen. the Hon. Dennis Moses who is out of the country. Mr. Ndale Young was appointed to temporarily replace Senator Moses during his absence from Trinidad and Tobago.

Sen. Taharqa Obika moved a motion calling on the Senate to take note of the Government’s failure to arrest the increasing and unacceptable levels of criminal activity in Trinidad and Tobago and calling on the Government to table, in the shortest possible time a cogent Strategic Crime Prevention Plan to address the unacceptable levels of crime facing the citizenry of Trinidad and Tobago. Debate began on the motion.
Sen. Wade Mark moved a private motion that the Senate annul the Immigration (Amendment) Regulations, 2019. Debate began on the motion. The motion was not approved.
