Leave of absence was granted to Sen. the Hon. Donna Cox, who is ill. Mr. Harvey Borris was appointed temporary Senator in her place.

The President of the Senate shared correspondence received from the Speaker of the House on the establishment of a Joint Select Committee to consider the Fisheries Management Bill, 2020.
The Finance (Supplementary Appropriation) (Financial Year 2020) Bill, 2020 was brought from the House of Representatives. Sen. the Hon. Allyson West moved that the next stage of the Bill be taken later in the proceedings.

The Acting Leader of Government Business moved a motion that for today’s debate, the speaking time be adjusted as follows: the Minister in the Ministry of Finance be allowed 45 minutes, the first responders on the Opposition and Independent benches be allowed 40 minutes each and all other members be allowed 30 minutes. The motion was approved.
The Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Sen. the Hon. Allyson West, moved the second reading of The Finance (Supplementary Appropriation) (Financial Year 2020) Bill, 2020. Debate began on the Bill. Following the debate, the Bill was read a third time and passed.
The Acting Leader of Government Business moved a motion that the Senate concur with the House of Representatives in the establishment of a Joint Select Committee to consider the Representation of the People (Amendment) Bill, 2020. The motion was approved.
Sen. Wade Mark raised a matter regarding the gasoline scandal involving the Government and the supposed shipment of 150,000 barrels of gasoline to Aruba which ended up in Venezuela. The Acting Leader of Government Business responded.
The Senate brought greetings to the nation on the celebration of Labour Day. The Sitting concluded at 7:39 p.m. The Senate adjourned to Monday June 22, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.
