The Minister of Finance and the Economy presented the Second Report (2012/2013) Session of the Finance Committee of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago on proposals for the Supplementation of the 2013 Appropriation.

One Bill, The Finance (Supplementary Appropriation)(Financial Year 2013) Bill, 2013, was introduced by the Minister of Finance and the Economy, who will move that the next stage of the Bill be taken later in the proceedings.
The Minister of Finance and the Economy moved a Motion to adopt a Report of the Finance Committee of the House of Representatives and the accompanying Finance (Supplementary Appropriation)(Financial Year 2013) Bill. The Leader of the Opposition was first to enter the debate, followed by the Minister of Sport and the Member for Diego Martin North/East. 16 Members made contributions before the Minister of Finance and the Economy rose to conclude. When the question to approve the Motion was put a division was taken and the Motion approved by a majority of 18 for, 7 against, no abstentions.
The Minister of Finance and the Economy moved the second reading of the Finance (Supplementary Appropriation)(Financial Year 2013) Bill, 2013. The Member for Diego Martin North/East made a brief contribution before the Minister rose to conclude. The Bill was then read a third time. A division was taken at third reading, the result of which was 18 for, 7 against, no abstentions.

At the next sitting, the Attorney General is expected to move the second reading of the Dog Control Bill, 2013. The sitting adjourned at 8 a.m. on Thursday July 13, 2013.
