The Leader of the House sought leave of the House to suspend Standing Order 25 pertaining to time limit for Statements by Ministers. The House took a division, the result of which was 21 for, 11 against and no abstentions.
The Prime Minister made a Statement in the House on issues surrounding the contractual and other arrangements related to the extension of the Solomon Hochoy Highway to Point Fortin by a Brazilian company called Construtora OAS S.A (“OAS”) .

The Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs moved the second reading of the Immigration (Caribbean Community Skilled Nationals)(Amendment) Bill, 2022. Seven contributions were made before the Minister rose to conclude. The 20 clause Bill was considered in Committee and approved without amendment. The Bill was then read a third time and passed. At third reading a division was taken, the result of which was 19 for, 11 against, no abstentions.
The Attorney General moved a Motion asking the House to agree to Senate amendments to the Cannabis Control Bill, 2020. The Senate agreed to each of the amendments.
