The Finance (Variation of Appropriation) (Financial Year 2017) Bill, 2017

The Minister of Finance introduced the Finance (Variation of Appropriation) (Financial Year 2017) Bill, 2017 and moved that the next stage of the Bill be taken later in the proceedings. This was agreed upon.

Government Business: Motions
Adopt the Second Report of the Standing Finance Committee

The Minister of Finance moved the motion to adopt the second Report of the Standing Finance Committee and further moved that the Finance (Variation of Appropriation) (Financial Year 2017) Bill, 2017 be debated simultaneously. This was not agreed upon.
Leave was also sought to suspend Standing Order 45(1) in relation to speaking time on the motion, allowing for the mover of the motion and the first responder (Opposition) to make contributions not exceeding 90 minutes in both cases. This was carried.
Debate began on the motion. Debate on this motion will continue at the next Sitting.
