Motions Relating To The Business Or Sittings Of The House And Moved By A Minister Or Parliamentary Secretary
Extension to JSCs

The Acting Leader of Government Business moved a motion that an extension of one month be granted to the JSC on The Miscellaneous Provisions (Local Government Reform) Bill, 2019 in order for the Committee to complete its work and submit a final report by June 30, 2020. The motion was approved.
He then moved a motion that an extension of 3 months be granted to the JSC on The Constitution (Amendment) (Tobago Self-Government) Bill, 2018 in order for the Committee to complete its work and submit a final report by August 31, 2020. The motion was approved.

Government Business: Bills Second Reading
The Misc Prov (Registrar Gen,Registration of Deeds,Conveyancing & Law of Property, Real Property, Stamp Duty & Reg. of Title to Land) Bill, 2020

The Attorney General, Hon. Faris Al-Rawi, MP, moved the second reading of The Miscellaneous Provisions (Registrar General, Registration of Deeds, Conveyancing and Law of Property, Real Property, Stamp Duty and Registration of Title to Land) Bill, 2020. Debate began on the Bill. The Bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole for consideration clause by clause. Deliberations on the Bill in Committee was adjourned and will resume on June 9, 2020.

Matter On The Adjournment
Two Matters

Sen. Wade Mark raised a matter on the adjournment namely the failure of the Government to promulgate the Batchieologal Weapons Convention action of 2012. The Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs responded.
Sen. Mark raised a second matter regarding the failure of the Government to operationalize, by proclaiming, the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Act. Sen. the Hon. Clarence Rambharat responded.
