Leave of absence was granted to Dr. Tim Gopeesingh, MP for Caroni East, Ms. Nicole Olivierre, MP for La Brea, Mr. Prakash Ramadhar, MP for St. Augustine and Dr. Surujrattan Rambachan, MP for Tabaquite, from today’s Sitting of the House.
The Speaker of the House shared correspondence received from the President of the Senate informing of the Senate’s concurrence with the House on the establishment of a JSC on the Fisheries Management Bill, 2020.

Five reports were presented.
The Leader of the House moved a motion that six named members of the House be appointed to serve with an equal number from the Senate on the JSC on the Fisheries Management Bill, 2020. The motion was approved.
One urgent question was posed.
The Attorney General, Hon. Faris Al-Rawi, MP, moved the second reading of The Miscellaneous Provisions (Registrar General, Registration of Deeds, Conveyancing and Law of Property, Real Property, Stamp Duty and Registration of Title to Land) Bill, 2020. Debate began on the Bill. Following the debate, the Bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole for consideration clause by clause. No amendments were made. The Bill was read a third time and passed.
The House brought greetings to the nation on the upcoming celebration of Labour Day (June 19). The Sitting concluded at 4:57 p.m. The House adjourned to Wednesday June 24, 2020 at 1:30 p.m.
