Leave of absence was granted to Hon. Major General (Retired) Edmund Dillon, MP for Point Fortin from Sittings of the House during the period May 23 – 26, 2018.

Three reports were presented.
Five questions were posed before the time for urgent questions expired.
Seventeen questions qualified for oral answer. Questions #226, #227, #239, #240 and #241 were deferred. Eleven questions were posed before the time for questions on notice was spent.
Three Bills were introduced in the name of the Minister of Finance. Hon. Colm Imbert, MP, moved that these Bill be referred to a Joint Select Committee for consideration and report. The House agreed. See Supplemental Order Paper for details.
Debate continued on the Private Motion: Failure to diversify the economy.
Hon. Colm Imbert, MP, made statements on the Global Forum and European Union Requirements and on the Trinidad and Tobago Revenue Authority Bill, 2018.
Dr. Bhoendradatt Tewarie, MP, raised a matter on the adjournment namely the urgent need for the Government to address the safety and security of citizens in public spaces, in communities where they live, conduct business and congregate to engage as human beings, to nurture community and to build society. Acting Minister of National Security, Hon. Fitzgerald Hinds, MP, responded.
