The Attorney General moved a Motion to extend the Economic Sanctions (Implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2653 (2022) on the Republic of Haiti) Order, 2023. The Member for Naparima was first to enter the debate, followed by the Minister of National Security and the Member for Princes Town. The Attorney General then rose to conclude. The Motion was approved.
The Member for St. Augustine raised as a matter on the Motion for the adjournment, the failure of the government to deal with praedial larceny on the farmers in the St. Augustine constituency. The Leader of the House responded on behalf of the Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries.
