The Attorney General moved the second reading of the Land Tribunal (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill, 2017. Debate began on the Bill, following which, the Bill was taken to the Committee of the Whole for consideration clause by clause. Amendments were made. The Bill was read a third time and passed.

Sen. Wade Mark raised a matter on the adjournment namely the absence of a comprehensive plan by the Government as it relates to the University of Trinidad and Tobago. Sen. the Hon. Clarence Rambharat responded.
Sen. Mark raised another matter on the negative impact of the explosive and exponential rise in criminal activities in the country, particularly murders and homicides, on the lives of our citizens. The Minister of National Security responded.
