The Member for Fyzabad sought leave to raise as a Definite Matter of Urgent Public Importance the allegations of the use of excessive Force by members of the protective services, including the regiment and police service, against citizens of Fyzabad and surrounding areas who have been protesting for better roads and utilities. The Speaker ruled that the matter did not qualify under this Standing Order.
The Bankruptcy and Insolvency (No.2) Bill, 2010 was introduced in the name of the Minister in the Ministry of Finance.
The Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill, 2006 was also introduced.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Finance presented the budget for fiscal 2007.
