The Attorney General, Sen. the Hon. John Jeremie, SC, moved the second reading of the Criminal Records (Rehabilitation of Offenders) Bill, 2026. Seven members added their voice to the debate before the wind up by the Attorney General. The bill was committed to the Committee of the Whole for consideration clause by clause. No amendments were made. The bill was read a third time and passed.
The House considered the senate amendments to the Bail (Amendment) Bill, 2026. The amendments were approved.
The Member for San Fernando East, Mr. Brian Manning, MP, raised a matter on the adjournment regarding the lack of garbage collection services by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) in the San Fernando East constituency. The Minister of Housing, Hon. David Lee, MP, responded.
