Twelve Papers were laid. See the Order Paper and Supplemental Order Paper.The Leader of Government Business in the Senate laid several papers on behalf of the Minister of Finance and the Economy, the Minister of Science and Technology and the Minister of Transport.

Three Reports were presented . See the Order Paper and Supplemental Order Paper. The Vice-President of the Senate, Sen. James Lambert presented two reports by Sen. Anthony Vieira.

Government Business: Bills Second Reading
The Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Bill, 2014

Debate is expected on the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Bill, 2014. The Minister of the People and Social Development, Sen. the Hon. Christine Newallo-Hosein was first to enter the debate. Opposition Senator, Sen. Shamfa Cudjoe was next to join in the debate followed by Independent Senator, Sen. David Small. The Minister of Transport then rose to wind up the debate.

The Minister of Planning and Sustainable Development, Sen. the Hon. Bhoendradatt Tewarie made a statement on the Annual Performance Report 2014 “Making Progress, Strengthening a Nation” and the National Monitoring and Evaluation Policy of Trinidad and Tobago.
