The Minister of Justice, Hon. Devesh Maharaj, MP, moved the second reading of the Parole Bill, 2026. Debate began on the bill. Three members contributed to the debate before the adjournment of the House.
The Speaker announced the presence in the Chamber of a delegation led by His Excellency Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India. He added that the Prime Minister would make a statement.
The Prime Minister made a statement in the House welcoming the visiting delegation and emphasizing the ongoing relationship between India and Trinidad and Tobago.
