Announcements / Leave of Absence
The President of the Senate granted leave of absence to Sen. the Hon. Raziah Ahmed who is out of the country.
The President then read a letter from the President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago appointing Mr. Larry Lalla as a temporary Senator. Mr. Lalla then took the Oath of Allegiance as a temporary Senator for the day’s sitting.

The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Bill, 2014
The Senate resolved itself into Committee Stage to resume clause by clause deliberation on the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Bill, 2014. Several Senators made their contributions. The Bill was then read a third time and passed with a Special Majority of 28 Members voting For, 0 Members voting Against and 0 Abstentions.
