The Vice-President of the Senate indicated that the President of the Senate, Sen. the Hon. Timothy Hamel Smith and the Minister of Energy and Energy Affairs, Sen. the Hon. Kevin Ramnarine were out of the country. Mr. Don Sylvester and Ms. Patricia Herry were appointed to temporarily replace Senators Hamil-Smith and Ramnarine during their absence.
Three Questions qualified for oral answer. One Question (52) was answered and the rest were deferred.

The Minister of Tourism moved the second reading of The CARIFORUM (Caribbean Community and Dominican Republic) European Community Economic Partnership Agreement Bill, 2013. Senator Dr. Lester Henry was the first to enter the debate followed by Sen. Corinne Baptiste McKnight, Sen. Terrence Deyalsingh, Sen. Prof. Harold Ramkissoon, Sen. Fitzgerald Hinds, Sen. Helen Drayton, Sen. Shamfa Cudjoe, Sen. Dr. Rolph Balgobin, Sen. the Hon. Dr. Bhoendradatt Tewarie and Sen. Faris Al-Rawi. The Minister of Tourism then rose to conclude. The Bill was then considered in Committee and approved without amendment. It was then read a third time and passed.
At its next sitting the Senate expects to consider the Dangerous Dogs Bill, 2013. The sitting ended at 9:44 p.m.
