The President of the Senate granted leave of absence to Sen. the Hon. Vasant Bharath, who was ill. Mr. Larry Lalla was appointed to temporarily replace Sen. Bharath during his absence from the Senate.

The Minister of Energy and Energy Affairs made a statement in the Senate.
The Minister of Tourism made a statement on the plans of the Government for the development of the tourism industry in Trinidad and Tobago.
Debate resumed on a Private Motion by Sen. Dr Victor Wheeler which calls on the Government to take immediate steps to conduct a comprehensive review of the Regional Health Authority system in the delivery of health care in Trinidad and Tobago. Senator Avinash Singh continued his contribution from the previous day, followed by Sen. David Small, the Minister of Tobago Development and Sen. Shamfa Cudjoe.
At the next sitting debate is expected on the Insurance Bill, 2015. The sitting ended at 4:31 p.m.
