The Speaker of the House read correspondence from the President of the Senate informing of the Senate’s concurrence with the House of Representatives on the establishment of the Joint Select Committee to consider and report of the Representation of the People (Amendment) Bill, 2020.
The Copyright (Amendment) Bill, 2019 and the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill, 2019 were brought from the Senate in the name of the Attorney General.

Nine questions were posed to the Prime Minister by members of the Opposition before the time for Prime Minister’s Questions expired.
Four urgent questions were posed.
Two questions qualified for oral answer. Question #45 was deferred for two weeks.
The Minister of Finance, Hon. Colm Imbert, concluded his wrap up of the debate on the motion to adopt the Report of the JSC on the Gambling (Gaming and Betting) Control Bill, 2016. The motion to adopt the report was approved. With 20 votes for, 0 votes against and 15 abstentions, the motion for the third reading and passage of the Bill was not approved.
The Bail (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill, 2019 was committed to a Committee of the Whole for consideration clause by clause. No amendments were made. With 19 votes for, 0 votes against and 14 abstentions, the motion for the third reading and passage of the Bill was not approved.
The debate on the motion to adopt the report of the JSC on The Private Security Industry Bill, 2019 continued. Following the debate, the report was adopted subject to consideration of clauses in the Committee of the Whole. The Committee Stage will resume on Friday May 29, 2020.
