The Speaker granted leave of absence to the Member for Naparima (April 19-29), the Member for Pointe-a-Pierre (today), the Member for Arima (one week commencing April 16), the Member for Port-of-Spain North/St. Ann’s West (April 15-22) and the Member for San Fernando East (42 days commencing on April 17, 2013).

The Minister of Transport moved the second reading of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill, 2013. The Member for Diego Martin North/East was first to enter the debate, followed by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, the Member for Laventille West and the Member for Point Fortin. The Minister of Transport then rose to conclude. The Bill was considered in Committee and passed without amendment. It was then read a third time and passed.
The Minister of Health moved the second reading of the National Health Services Accreditation Authority Bill, 2013. Debate on the Bill was suspended.
