The Leader of Government Business moved that the JSC on the Insurance Bill, 2016 be allowed an extension of four weeks to complete its work and submit a final report by June 30, 2017. The motion was carried.

The Senate resolved to the Committee Stage to consider the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill, 2017 on a clause by clause basis. The Bill was read a third time and passed, with amendments.
