The Vice-President of the Senate informed the House that the President of the Senate was Acting as President of the Republic. The Vice-President also granted leave to Senator the Hon. Dr. Amery Browne, Sen. the Hon. Kazim Hosein and Sen the Hon. Avinash Singh . Mr. Harvey Borris, Mr. Augustus Thomas, Mr. Michael Seales and Ms. Yokyyma Bethelmy were appointed to temporarily replace the aforementioned Senators.
